Video: Alejandro Garnacho’s new chant vs Nottingham Forest replaces Cristiano Ronaldo – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United fans have found their replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo in the form of the young Alejandro Garnacho.

That is, at least in regards to the famous ‘Viva Ronaldo’ song that has been sung at Old Trafford over the years.

Yesterday Garnacho came onto the pitch in the 65th minute, replacing the Brazilian full-back Antony.

And the familiar refrain ‘Viva…’ could be heard in the stands soon after, apparently in response to one of the Argentine’s wild runs.

But the 37-year-old Portuguese free agent is no longer the subject of the song, with Garnacho replacing him on the chant.

A video of what is sure to be a great moment for the youngster has surfaced online.

“Well Ronaldo left but we have, VIVA GARNACHO!!!!” says the tweet.

Garnacho may soon set his sights on another area where he can replace Ronaldo, with the number seven shirt still vacant at Man United.

The veteran striker made himself known after an explosive interview with Piers Morgan before the World Cup.

But United’s positive results since returning to domestic action have left fans optimistic about their club’s prospects without the Portugal captain.

Erik ten Hag now hopes for a follow-up to convincing wins over Burnley and Nottingham Forest.

With the manager unclear on attacking options, Garnacho is likely to have plenty of chances to hear his name sung at Old Trafford again before the season is out.
