The January transfer window has yet to be opened and Liverpool fans are pushing for a second deal to be completed, news coming out of Portugal may well suggest our club is doing the same.
After first confirming: ‘Enzo #Fernandez will leave Benfica in the January transfer market’, Pedro Almeida has now also reported: ‘Manchester United and Liverpool reach €120M that Benfica wants to sell to Enzo #Fernandez. ????????⌛️’.
Portuguese transfer specialist insider also previously said that Cody Gakpo would be joining Manchester United, but seeing as many were surprised by our move for the Dutchman and his area of expertise within the nation that Enzo Fernandez currently plays for, let’s hope that these words ring truer.

Using the PSV attacker as a benchmark as well, it’s clear that a move to Anfield is a more desirable option for most players at the moment and hopefully we can bring our old rivals back to another major transfer target.
The 21-year-old midfielder is hot property around the world after his performances in Qatar, so hopefully other teams can also hit his release clause and tempt him away from Benfica.
It is also unknown what spending this volume of money on the Argentina international would mean for a possible deal with Jude Bellingham, but it seems clear that the Reds are willing to spend big in the upcoming windows.
