Erik ten Hag Backs Marcus Rashford to Score 20 Premier League Goals in 22/23

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has backed Marcus Rashford to score 20 Premier League goals this season.

Marcus Rashford has been largely impressive for Manchester United in the 22/23 season with the England international establishing himself as a key player under Erik ten Hag.

The 25-year-old had endured a rather disappointing and disappointing 21/22 season at Manchester United. He scored just five goals and recorded just two assists for the Red Devils in the 21/22 season.

Marcus Rashford has already improved that tally in the current 22/23 season. The Manchester United attacker has already scored nine goals and added three assists with the Old Trafford team in the 22/23 season.

Erik ten Hag believes that Marcus Rashford is capable of scoring 20 Premier League goals this season.

“I don’t want to fixate on a number,” Erik ten Hag said. “I said it from the beginning, I said it from one of the first days that Rashy is capable of scoring 20 goals in the Premier League alone. So I’m convinced of that.

Now he has four but he scored many other goals. He scored three in the World Cup, so he has the potential to score that many goals in the Premier League.”

Of the nine goals that Marcus Rashford has scored this season, only four have come in the English Premier League, where he has starred in every game the Red Devils have played in the 22/23 season.
