Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has spoken for the first time about James Maddison, a player the Tyneside club are keen to sign.
Newcastle have been strongly linked with the England international, even turning down an offer in the summer for him.
“Total respect for him and his abilities. I have seen him grow from a Football League player to a Premier League player.
“I think it’s been brilliant and a great announcement for the Premier League.
“It is a Leicester City and I fully respect it. I would never talk about another contract player coming here. He is a player I respect.” Howe said.
