It was always meant to be a transfer story that had twists and turns, but it looks as though Jude Bellingham may have taken Anfield one step further with his latest apparent decision.
As reported by AS (via BBC Sport): “English midfielder Jude Bellingham’s preference is to join Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund, despite interest in the 19-year-old from Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United.” .
With any deal for the 19-year-old not likely to be completed until the summer, there are bound to be countless stories about him up to that point, so we can only take each ‘update’ with a huge pinch of salt.

This report coming from a Spanish media outlet means that it may well have been used for the sole reason of trying to keep Real Madrid in the running to sign the talented England international and may not ring true at all.
The truth is, though, that we don’t know at this point where the Borussia Dortmund man’s heart and mind is and we probably won’t until we see him decked out in that club’s colours, holding his scarf over his head.
For now, we can hope the Reds remain in the running for the Birmingham-born teenager and cross our fingers that the club is in a strong enough position on the pitch to attract him and be able to pay him off financially.
