Kleberson names who can replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United

Former Manchester United midfielder Kleberson has named an attacker who can fill the void left by Cristiano Ronaldo at Manchester United. The Portuguese international left Old Trafford last month.

His second stint with the Red Devils ended on a bad note after his controversial interview with Piers Morgan. He was openly critical of Erik ten Hag and the Manchester United board in an interview, and his contract was terminated by mutual consent last month.

Ronaldo made 40 Premier League appearances during his second spell at Old Trafford, registering 19 goals and three assists. He won Manchester United’s Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year award last year.

Kleberson names Goncalo Ramos as Cristiano Ronaldo’s replacement

Former Manchester United attacker Kleberson believes Benfica’s Goncalo Ramos could replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford. Speaking to the media, he said: “Goncalo Ramos is very young, but he has already shown us what he is capable of, on the biggest stage of all at the World Cup, scoring a hat-trick against Switzerland.” .

“The way he plays, and how he moves and interacts with his teammates… it could be your new Cristiano Ronaldo. A move to United would be a good thing for him.”

Goncalo Ramos has impressed everyone since he broke into Benfica’s first team during the 2019-20 season. He has played 81 games (in all competitions) for the Eagles thus far, recording 29 goals and 10 assists. Ramos has twice won the SJPF Young Player of the Month award and was also named Revelation of the Year at the 2021 Cosme Damião Awards.

The 21-year-old attacker also turned heads with his performances at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He scored three goals in four appearances for Qatar, including a hat-trick against Switzerland during a round of 16 tie.

Benfica are reportedly demanding a transfer fee of close to €120 million to sell Gomas. Whether Erik ten Hag is willing to pay that kind of sum to bring him to Old Trafford remains to be seen. Joao Félix and Cody Gakpo are other attackers who have been linked with a trade to the Red Devils in recent weeks.
