The Champions League trophy is all we want

Pep Guardiola has insisted that his time in charge of Manchester City will not be complete without a Champions League trophy.

The Spaniard recently signed a two-year contract extension with the club, keeping him at the Etihad Stadium until 2025.

So far, he has won four Premier League titles, four Carabao Cups and one FA Cup, but there is one trophy that eludes him and City.

The Champions League is considered by many to be the most prestigious trophy at club level. Real Madrid is the one that has won the most, with 14 prominent in its cabinet at the Bernabéu.

The closest Guardiola has come to City is the 2020/2021 campaign, in which they finished runners-up after seeing a 1-0 loss to fellow Premier League rival Chelsea.
