Turkish chef and food entertainer Nusret Gökçe, also known as Salt Bae, came under fire from fans online after posting a photo on Instagram holding the World Cup Trophy. It was on Sunday night after Argentina’s win over France that this image was clicked.
Salt Bae was allowed onto the field after the penalty shootout. He was visibly celebrating with the Argentina players. It was the third time that Argentina had won the World Cup. It was a perfect conclusion to Lionel Messi’s World Cup career. Both teams were shoulder to shoulder until the end of the match with a score of 3-3. As a tie-breaker, a penalty shootout was carried out in which Argentina emerged the winner of the match.
Before the penalty shootout, Messi gave his team an early start and scored the first goal of the game. Ángel Di María joined Messi to have a pretty good hand over France. But France knows how to bounce back, and it was Kylian Mbappe who got France back in the game.
This took the game to extra time, where Messi scored his second goal of the game. However, Mbappé scored for the third time in the match, taking the match to a penalty shootout. La Albiceleste won the tournament from here, thanks to a one-sided penalty shootout 4-2.
