Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez is a World Cup winner!
Lisandro was part of the triumphant Argentina team that reached the final where they beat a stubborn team from France led by Kylian Mbappe.
MartÃnez did not participate in the exciting final, and Lionel Scaloni only considered him suitable for a place on the bench.
The United player played most of the Albiceleste campaign and had some pivotal moments during the tournament leading up to the final.
After the final, an emotional MartÃnez posed for photos with his family and fellow Argentines.
The United centre-back was elated after the win which saw him outplay fellow club defender and World Cup winner Raphael Varane.
However, Martinez’s interaction with renowned celebrity chef, Salt Bae, during the celebrations has drawn criticism and even fury from soccer fans.
Nusret Gokce, better known as Salt Bae, somehow gained access to the Lusail Stadium pitch and was caught on video alongside Martinez clutching the trophy in what could only be described as an awkward interaction.

Salt Bae remained on the pitch with the Argentina players and broke FIFA’s strict rules about who can touch the trophy.

As well as United’s Argentinian “butcher”, the Turkish butcher also found himself in an equally bizarre interaction with Lionel Messi, who seemed annoyed when the chef tapped him on the shoulder.
Messi proceeded to blank him out, giving him only half-hearted acknowledgment.
