Prosecutors reject Juventus request to move trial from Turin to Milan

Juventus is being investigated for false accounting and other crimes by the Turin public prosecutor’s office. However, they want the trial to be moved from Turin to Milan.

The Bianconeri have denied any wrongdoing despite the multitude of evidence prosecutors say they have showing they have tampered with their books.

The Bianconeri then requested that the trial be moved to Milan. Still, he has refused, according to a report on Tuttomercatoweb, and the prosecutor’s office issued a statement saying:

“The request for referral of the records to another prosecutor, raised by the defense, is precluded from the extrajudicial competence of the judge who proceeds before whom the relative exception can be opposed.”

Juve FC says

This is a setback for the club, but since they have insisted that they have done nothing wrong, we must be sure that we will win the case regardless of the city in which the trial takes place.

The prosecutors also think they have a better chance of finding us guilty, so they might want the trial to take place in Turin.

For now, the fans are hoping the case ends soon so we can focus on watching our team play on the field.
