Chelsea’s Denis Zakaria provides an update on his future

Denis Zakaria joined Chelsea on loan from Juventus during the summer window. The Blues have the option to sign him permanently for £30m at the end of the current season.

However, he has struggled since coming to Stamford Bridge. The Swiss international has yet to appear in a Premier League match for the London outfit. Chelsea are reportedly looking to terminate their loan deal in January.

Denis Zakaria has no regrets joining Chelsea

Chelsea midfielder Denis Zakaria has no regrets joining the Blues. Speaking to the media, he said: “I remain positive with my Chelsea experience, then I’ll see what happens.”

“I still need to improve some things and show the coach what I can. When it’s my turn to play, I have to show that I’m good. It hasn’t been enough so far, but I work hard.”

Zakaria is currently behind N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic, Jorginho, Mason Mount and Conor Gallagher in the pecking order at Stamford Bridge. However, he impressed with his performance during the Blues’ 2-1 win against Dinamo Zagrab in the UEFA Champions League last month.

The Swiss international will be looking to establish himself in the Blues’ senior team when the season resumes after the 2022 FIFA World Cup break.

The Blues offered the possibility of signing Adrien Rabiot

According to 90min, Juventus have offered the possibility of signing Adrien Rabiot to several clubs, including Chelsea and Liverpool. The French international is in the last year of his contract at the Allianz Stadium.

Talks over a new contract have stalled in recent months. Juventus could look to cash in on him during the January window instead of losing the buzz for free at the end of the current season. Rabiot joined Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer during the 2019 summer transfer window. He has made 145 appearances (in all competitions) for the Turin outfit so far, scoring 11 goals and assisting to eight more.

Rabiot helped the Bianconeri win a Serie A title, a Coppa Italia and an Italian Super Cup. The 27-year-old midfielder also played a key role in France’s run to the 2022 FIFA World Cup final.

He has played five games in Qatar so far, registering one goal and one assist. Rabiot will look to help France win their second consecutive World Cup when they face Argentina in the final at Lusail Stadium on Sunday.
