Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka could finally leave the club in January.
Over the summer, Erik ten Hag made it abundantly clear that English is not in his future plans and that he was free to seek alternative employers.
Only Crystal Palace and West Ham expressed interest, but a move never materialised.
Since then, Ten Hag have predominantly used Diogo Dalot in all competitions, limiting Wan-Bissaka to just four minutes in the Premier League this season.
In United’s friendlies against Cádiz and Real Betis during the World Cup break, Wan-Bissaka failed to impress and showed why the starting gate is the best outcome for all matches.
The 25-year-old started both losses and didn’t uproot any trees with his lackluster performances.
It was recently reported that West Ham were exploring a January loan deal for Wan-Bissaka with David Moyes needing a right-back.
Now it looks like the Hammers are ready to fulfill his interest according to The Manchester Evening News.
Samuel Luckhurst broadcasts: “West Ham United are interested in signing Manchester United right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka on loan in the January transfer window.”
“West Ham have a close relationship with representatives of Wan-Bissaka, Unique Sports Management, who oversaw the transfer of Maxwell Cornet from Burnley in the summer.”
“West Ham are 16th in the Premier League and manager David Moyes has struggled to establish himself as a regular right-back. Thilo Kehrer, a centre-back by trade, has lined up at right-back in his last three league games.
Wolves have also recently been credited with an interest.
This would not be the first time in recent times that United negotiated with the London club in January for a player. In January 2021, Jesse Lingard moved into the London Stadium and proved to be the difference in their season’s trajectory, helping them finish in the Europa League.
