Juventus’ Kenan Yildiz is making great progress at the club since joining them in the summer for free.
He was originally sent to their U19 side, where he dominated opponents and just earned a call-up to the Next Gen squad.
He is undoubtedly progressing well at the club and could be invited to play for the first team sooner than anyone thought.
While the Bianconeri are delighted by his appearance, outside clubs are now surrounding the teenager, making it difficult for Juve to keep him.
A report on Il Bianconero reveals that Benfica have been looking for him and he is now one of their main transfer targets as they try to add more young players to their squad.
Juve FC says
Yildiz is a young and interesting player, so it’s completely normal that other clubs want to make him one of their players, but we have to keep him.
The 17-year-old has proven to be a great talent around which we can build our future, and it makes little sense not to consider keeping him for the long term.
He will also have a hard time playing for Benfica, so we need to convince him that staying with us is a safer path to regular first-team action.
