Benfica refuse to give up on keeping Juventus target Alex Grimaldo

Juventus is getting closer to making Alex Grimaldo their player, and starting next month they may discuss adding him to their team as a free agent in the summer.

However, his current employer Benfica have refused to concede defeat in their bid to keep him in the team beyond his current terms.

Grimaldo is now an accomplished left-back in European football and will have plenty of suitors fighting for his signature when he is free.

However, Juve want to win the race and have come up with a plan to ensure they bring him to Turin regardless of interest from other clubs.

A report on Calciomercato reveals that the bianconeri know of his other suitors but are confident of adding him to their squad.

However, Benfica still believes that he will change his mind about leaving and signing a new contract with them.

He now has an offer on the table, and they expect him to review it and write an extension before this season is out.

Grimaldo knows this is his best chance to move to a bigger club, so we expect him to do his best to leave Benfica, which means he won’t sign an extension.

If he does, however, we’ll be forced to consider another target.
