Only one Juventus player might start the World Cup final

Juventus has at least three players on the French and Argentine national teams combined, but only one could be guaranteed a starting spot in the World Cup final on Sunday.

Angel di Maria and Leandro Paredes both play for the Argentines, but both have been secondary players in the competition.

Di María has been plagued by injuries, while his coach has not preferred Paredes despite the fact that he did very well in his game against Croatia.

Adrien Rabiot is the lynchpin of France’s midfield but missed their semi-final win against Morocco through illness and is now working hard to be fit for the final.

A report on Tuttomercatoweb reveals that he is the only Juventus player guaranteed to start in the game.

If he is fit, he will play, but Di María and Paredes are likely to start the game on the Argentina bench.

Juve FC says

It’s a pride to have players in the World Cup final, even if they don’t play the game.

They have been part of the team that has made it to this stage of the competition and that means we will be guaranteed at least one WC winner in our locker room when all the players return from the competition.
