Andrea Agnelli misses the latest Super League meeting

The European Super League is still alive and its protagonists have met today to discuss the way forward after being shaken by a recent legal recommendation.

A Calciomercato report reveals that the president of Barcelona and Real Madrid met, but Juventus could not present Andrea Agnelli.

The former Bianconeri president had resigned a few weeks ago from his position as leader of the same together with the club’s board of directors.

Juve have not addressed his position since leaving the club’s top job, but it looks like they will continue to support him.

However, the report says that Agnelli was absent from the meeting between Joan Laporta and Florentino Pérez.

In the end, they came to the conclusion that now was the time to stay positive about their idea, regardless of where they stood.

Juve FC says

The last thing we need right now is a distraction from the Super League because the last few weeks have presented us with bigger problems.

When the time is right, we will clarify our position on this. What we need now is to get new leaders and keep winning games.

Our players have gone into the break with high spirits after winning six consecutive league games. We hope they continue to win when Serie A restarts next month.
