Luca Pellegrini wants Italy return in search for playing time; Lazio interested

After a few months at Eintracht Frankfurt, it seems that Luca Pellegrini has packed his bags, waiting for a call from home.

The Juventus full-back had joined the Europa League winners on a one-year loan deal that does not include a purchase option.

But while the bianconeri awaited his return in June, it seems that the player will return in January.

According to Corriere dello Sport via TuttoJuve, Pellegrini does not share a positive relationship with Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner and hopes to find new accommodation in search of more playing time.

The source adds that the decision to leave Germany has been taken after some conversations between Juventus and the player’s entourage.

However, the 23-year-old’s return to Turin will most likely be temporary, before embarking on the journey to another destination.

As many sources have reported in the previous days, Lazio is still interested in Pellegrini and is willing to take his services on loan, although a formula has not yet been defined.

Juve FC says

Although not always a regular starter, Pellegrini managed to show encouraging signs during his time at Eintracht.

So unless we can make some decent cash on a sale, maybe it wouldn’t be such a terrible idea to keep him as part of Max Allegri’s team as a backup to Alex Sandro or Filip Kostic.
