Fabrizio Romano drops update on June transfer Liverpool failed to secure as club now pushing ‘on player side’

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Liverpool are actively working on a deal for Jude Bellingham on the player’s side amid claims the Reds have taken the lead in the race to sign the Englishman.

Jurgen Klopp is said to be leading the charge after suffering the loss of Aurelien Tchouameni to Real Madrid, who is also a potential part that could snap up the Borussia Dortmund star in the summer window.

“It is true that Liverpool are absolutely pushing for Jude Bellingham with Jurgen Klopp, who are really trying hard to get Jude Bellingham at Liverpool after missing out on Aurelien Tchouameni last summer,” the Caught Offside columnist said in his YouTube channel.

“He was the main target. And Liverpool tried in June for Bellingham but it was impossible to reach an agreement with Dortmund.

“Now Liverpool are working on the Jude Bellingham deal on the player side hoping to work on the club side with Borussia Dortmund.”

With a move in the next window highly unlikely, the Merseysiders will of course be forced to buy elsewhere in the meantime if they wish to bolster the midfield department in the near future.

From our current position, it would seem difficult for the club not to achieve its main objective in 2023, especially in light of the clear bond created between the teenager and our skipper Jordan Henderson.

Such relations will not be decisive by themselves, although it is certainly worth preparing the ground before the opening of the summer window.

Knowing that both the coach and the players are desperate to have you on board has to be flattering, especially when you consider the state of the people involved.
