Report reveals why Jude Bellingham won’t be top priority for Liverpool anymore

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old was reportedly one of their main targets, but the Premier League giants decided to spend cash on Argentina international Enzo Fernández.

The 21-year-old Benfica midfielder has excelled for Argentina at the World Cup and played a key role in their run to the semi-finals.

Fernández has clearly impressed Liverpool with his performances in Qatar and the Reds are prepared to pay a club record fee to sign him.

A Transfers report claims that Jurgen Klopp’s team could pay around 120 million euros for the Benfica midfielder. Therefore, Bellingham is no longer a priority option for them.

The England international is a world-class talent and is destined to become a superstar in the future. Ideally, Liverpool should be looking to sign both players given the state of their midfield, but it seems highly unlikely that they can afford two expensive transfers.

The 19-year-old has been very impressive for England at the World Cup and is believed to be on Spanish club Real Madrid’s radar.

Liverpool’s change of stance will certainly provide a boost for the Spanish team, and it remains to be seen if they can convince Bellingham to join them in the next few windows.

The Bundesliga midfielder is expected to cost around €100m and could be the ideal long-term replacement for club legend Luka Modri?, who is in his twilight.
