Fabrizio Romano reveals Inter Milan’s price for Manchester United target Denzel Dumfries – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United will have to pay big in January to acquire Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries.

During the World Cup break, Dumfries has become a target for Erik ten Hag.

The United manager has made no secret of his desire for a right-sided fullback to come in and help Diogo Dalot and provide him with competition.

The only other senior right-back at the club, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, has far exceeded the requirements, and there is talk of a January loan move to West Ham.

Several other names beyond Dumfries have been mentioned, including Jeremie Frimpong and Malo Gusto de Lyon.

However, Ten Hag appears to prefer Dumfries, who enjoyed a stellar tournament with the Netherlands before Argentina eliminated them in the quarter-finals.

Fabrizio Romano reports: “Manchester United are interested in Denzel Dumfries, but Inter Milan intend to keep him.”

“40/45 million euros could lead to negotiations with Inter.”

“Inter wants to make sure that [Dumfries] corset.”

Romano admits it would be a challenge for the Red Devils to lure Dumfries from the San Siro, but concedes it wouldn’t be impossible.

After the Netherlands’ match against the USA, in which the 26-year-old defender excelled, Dumfries was questioned by the press about a possible move to the Premier League with Chelsea.

He refused to get too carried away with the discussion of his future, but described the links with the London club as a “great compliment”.

Dumfries also reiterated his love and commitment to the Nerazzurri without explicitly confirming that he would be there until the end of the season.
