Klopp to thank for Liverpool being Bellingham ‘front-runners’

Some Liverpool fans may be sad to see England knocked out of the World Cup, as it means agent Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold can no longer whisper sweet words in Jude Bellingham’s ear.

However, as David Ornstein reported for The Athletic, it looks like we’re currently in a strong position for the 19-year-old: “There’s a feeling among stakeholders that Liverpool may be the favourites, but they don’t think the matter is closed and will hope that the current uncertainty at Anfield plays into their hands.

“Liverpool’s pursuit of Bellingham is being led by manager Jurgen Klopp, but his team have experienced a difficult start to the league season, putting their participation in the 2023-24 Champions League in doubt.”

There is something special about Jurgen Klopp and it seems that every time a player gets the chance to talk to him, they fall in love with the German and instantly want to play for the Reds.

Given that our manager has a connection to Borussia Dortmund and the player has a connection to his two England colleagues, then it looks like this really could be a deal we could strike.

The significance of Champions League qualification this season could be very important if we are to lure the Birmingham-born teenager to Anfield, with no deal possible until the summer. act out of it too.

It could all be down to money and the uncertainty around our ownership is certainly not ideal at the moment, so we’ll have to wait for the stars to align in the coming months and we capture what could be a monumental signing.
