AC Milan confident Rafael Leao will extend contract with club

Rafael Leao: AC Milan president Paolo Scaroni has said he is confident of keeping young Rafael Leao from the Portugal national soccer team at the club.

Rafael Leao has established himself as one of the best young talents in Europe. The 23-year-old Portuguese international was crucial for AC Milan as they secured the Serie A title in the 21/22 season.

Leao has been playing for AC Milan since signing for the Italian team in the summer of 2019. He joined AC Milan from Ligue 1 side Lille. Since joining AC Milan, the Portuguese international has made 135 appearances in all competitions with the Serie A team and has amassed 34 goals.

Rafael Leao signed a five-year contract with AC Milan upon joining the club in 2019. He has not renewed his contract with Milan since. His current contract with Milan expires in 2024. That means he has less than two years left on his current deal with the Serie A giants.
