There are no negotiations between Arsenal or Manchester United for Barcelona striker Memphis Depay despite the reports.
Depay has been linked with a move away from Barcelona in recent months, with SPORT reporting that Arsenal were interested in the Dutchman and Florian Plettenberg stating that Manchester United were in the running.
There’s no doubt Depay would be a useful addition to both Arsenal and Manchester United, but neither club has entered negotiations with the Barcelona striker, according to Fabrizio Romano, speaking exclusively to CaughtOffside via his column. Substack.
“At the moment, there are no ongoing negotiations between Depay and any other club. Surely it can be a great opportunity for many clubs; but Barca have to decide if they want to sell Memphis or not,” Romano said.
