England manager Gareth Southgate reacted to his team’s loss to France and the 2022 World Cup exit.
In the past two major tournaments, England have reached the 2018 World Cup semi-final and Euro 2020 final, leading many fans to believe this year was their chance to go one step further and lift an international trophy. .

The coach has given his opinion on the defeat. Southgate said: “I don’t think the players could have given more, they played very well against a top team. They are good margins and there are things on both ends that ended up deciding the game, but I think the way they have progressed as a group throughout this tournament has been fantastic.”
