Report: Marotta waiting a call from Elkann amidst rumored Juventus return

Amid all the turmoil surrounding the club, fans and observers alike are wondering who will be tasked with guiding Juventus to a better future.

As we reported yesterday, the Bianconeri could turn to the past, with Giuseppe Marotta, Alessandro Del Piero and even Antonio Conte targeting returns.

As for the former CEO, some believe his potential return is much more than just hot air.

Since leaving Turin in 2018, Marotta has served as CEO at the Old Lady’s arch-rivals, Inter.

In 2021, he led the club to its first Scudetto title in eleven years, subsequently ending Juve’s nine-year winning dynasty that, ironically, had begun under his watch.

But according to Corriere dello Sport via JuventusNews24, Marotta would gladly answer a phone call from Juventus majority owner John Elkann.

Juve FC says

For one reason or another, this source, along with others, say a return to Juventus remains an attractive prospect for Marotta.

Maybe it’s the glorious past and great achievements, a personal challenge in the midst of difficult times, or maybe he’s just not happy in Milan.

Regardless, we can expect the reports to link the club with a wealth of options regarding potential roles, especially with a number of important positions currently vacant or filled by temporary officers.
