The next Juventus general manager: Giuntoli, Tare and Petrachi named candidates

Following last week’s groundbreaking announcement, nothing has been the same for Juventus.

The entire board of directors headed by president Andrea Agnelli resigned in the wake of the financial and legal crisis. Gianluca Ferrero has replaced the outgoing president, while Gianluca Scanavino has been appointed CEO.

However, the latter’s role seems to be temporary, and he should eventually return to his position at one of the other companies owned by EXOR.

According to Tuttosport via Calciomercato, Juventus is looking for a general manager with sporting experience, identifying three possible candidates for the role.

The source reveals that Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is the favorite for the role. This is not the first time that turning 50 has been linked to the move to Turin. He has been serving the Partenopei since 2015 and has a contract that expires in 2024.

The next candidate on the list is Igli Tare, who for some time has been Claudio Lotito’s right-hand man at Lazio. The Albanian has been the sports director of the Biancocelesti since 2008, but his contract expires at the end of the season.

Finally, the former sporting director of Torino and Roma, Gianluca Petrachi, is currently not linked and would be available immediately.
