Ronaldo’s sister says she wanted him ‘to come home’ after being dropped

Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister has said she wanted him to ‘come home’ from the World Cup as the family has ‘suffered enough’ due to the superstar being ruled out of Portugal’s match against Switzerland.

It’s been a tough few weeks for Ronaldo as the 37-year-old has been in the news for all the wrong reasons, but mostly it’s been his doing.

The striker was recently sacked by Man United for his recent behavior and was left out by Fernando Santos for Portugal’s round of 16 game at the World Cup.

One of Ronaldo’s sisters, Elma, called Santos’ decision a humiliation, and now Katia Aveiro has posted her thoughts on Instagram.

Aveiro is known for defending her brother online and her latest post was another lengthy rant about the superstar.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s sister defends him again on Instagram

Aveiro said he wanted Ronaldo to come home after the World Cup after being ruled out because the family had suffered enough.

The post said via talkSPORT: “On the pitch they yelled for Ronaldo. It wasn’t for him to win Portugal… And I’m not the one saying this. The world has watched… Why is this??? I’m glad Portugal won… (I’ve seen Portugal win so many times).

“And this does not invalidate the majority of the Portuguese. And this is what is wrong because they keep cursing, they keep insisting on offense and ingratitude.

“So sad with what I read and hear, not here in Qatar but in my country, in your country…it’s really sad.”

Ronaldo’s sister then revealed that she was desperate for her brother to come home, saying: “AND I LOVED HIM SO MUCH.

“I really wanted him to come home, leave the national team and sit next to us to hug him and tell him that everything is fine, remind him of what he achieved and which house he came from.

“I really wanted him not to go there anymore, we already suffered enough (they will never know how much) you are big and the little ones don’t realize how big you are…

“Come to your house. Which is where they understand you, where they embrace you. As it has always been. Where is all gratitude and not ingratitude. thank you Ronaldo [followed by five more thank yous]

“I really wanted it… But you decide what you decide we are with you. Until death does. Thank you.”
