Exclusive: Christian Falk warns Liverpool of ‘very convincing’ obstacle standing in way of Bellingham transfer

Christian Falk has suggested that a deal between Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool for the signing of Jude Bellingham is not yet 100% guaranteed.

That said, the Englishman is said to be “convinced about Jurgen Klopp”, which is sure to offer the Premier League side some advantage in the negotiations.

“About £130m is the benchmark. If Bellingham, and we hear that he is very convinced to go to Liverpool, he is convinced of Jurgen Klopp”, the German journalist told Empire of the Kop exclusively. “But in the end, he has a contract at Dortmund and Dortmund don’t say ‘yeah, we know Jurgen very well and he’s a very nice guy, that’s why you’re getting him £20m cheaper and we didn’t accept the offer. from Real Madrid, Chelsea or City’, so no, that won’t work.”

The BILD reporter noted the threat from Pep Guardiola, “a very convincing guy when he talks to the players”, that the Reds need to watch out ahead of the summer window.

“It is the beginning of a poker [game]. In the end, they have to see if the others like City, they are also very interested in him, they say ‘we can pay him,'” Falk added.

“You know, Pep Guardiola is also a very convincing guy when he talks to the players.

“So you shouldn’t count on getting it cheaper, but maybe Fenway Sports Group will sell the club and the new owner can put in a little money and the fans will be happy.”

The threat from Real Madrid and Chelsea in the race for Europe’s most coveted talent cannot be completely ruled out.

We have taken the lead, as things currently stand, due to our hard work behind the scenes, with Klopp playing a particularly important role in the 19-year-old’s signature hunt.

After so much speculation, one cannot even begin to imagine the heartache that would descend on the red half of Merseyside if we fell at the last hurdle before the summer window.

Now, it seems a matter of finances and meeting Dortmund’s understandably notable demands for their most prized asset.
