Shaw Sends Mbappe Warning Ahead of FIFA World Cup Quarter-Final

England v France: Luke Shaw has warned the England soccer team that it would be “very naive” of them to “focus solely” on Kylian Mbappe in the England v France World Cup quarter-final match FIFA 2022.

England have sealed their place in the 2022 FIFA World Cup quarter-finals after securing an impressive 3-0 win over Senegal in the round of 16. The Three Lions will face defending champions France in the England vs France quarter-final match.

France secured a place in the quarterfinals with a 3-1 win over Poland in the round of 16. Kylian Mbappe was impressive for France against Poland, scoring twice for Didier Deschamps’ side in their round of 16 victories.

Kylian Mbappe has been impressive for France at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. He has scored five goals for France so far at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, more than any other player.

England vs France: England will need to be wary of the threat Kylian Mbappe could pose when they meet in the England vs France quarter-final. But England left-back Luke Shaw has warned the Three Lions that it would be naive of him to focus solely on the Paris Saint-Germain superstar.

Luke Shaw admitted that Kylian Mbappe is a ‘world-class player’, but also stressed that France have brilliant players all over the pitch ahead of England vs France.

“Obviously, after his performance (against Poland), he will be talked about even more, but we know he is a world-class player,” Luke Shaw said.

“I think it would be very naive of us to focus solely on him. They are reigning world champions for a reason and we need to focus on them as a whole team.

“They have brilliant players all over the field so we’re not going to focus entirely on him, but it’s an incredible tie to be in and that’s why we’re here.”

France, as Luke Shaw said, have brilliant players across the pitch with Kylian Mbappe, Olivier Giroud, Adrien Rabiot, Antoine Griezmann and Ousmane Dembele among the players who have been impressive for the defending world champions at the Qatar 2022 World Cup. England vs France match begins at 12:30 am Indian Standard Time on December 11.
