Liverpool made Jude Bellingham transfer priority

Liverpool are interested in the transfer of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham. The English international is currently among the most sought-after footballers in Europe.

He has played a key role for the German club since joining from Birmingham City in the summer window of 2020. Jude Bellingham has made 112 appearances (in all competitions) for BVB so far, registering 19 goals and 21 assists. The 19-year-old helped the Dortmund team win the DFB-Pokal in 2020-21.

The Stourbridge-born midfielder won the 2020-21 Bundesliga Rookie of the Season award and was also named to the Bundesliga Team of the Season last year. Jude Bellingham also finished second in the Kopa Trophy final standings in 2021.

According to Sky Sports, Liverpool have made signing Jude Bellingham their top priority for next summer’s transfer window. The England international is expected to make a decision about his future after the FIFA World Cup.

Jurgen Klopp has struggled with his midfield options this season. Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita, Thiago, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Curtis Jones and Arthur Melo suffered injuries in the early months of the season.

Jurgen Klopp will be looking to bolster his midfield options during the upcoming transfer window. In addition to Bellingham, the Merseyside outfit are also looking for Enzo Fernández, Konrad Laimer and Moises Caicedo.

Meanwhile, Bellingham have been in excellent form this FIFA World Cup. He has recorded one goal and one assist in four World Cup appearances for the Three Lions so far. The market value of him has increased significantly due to the wonderful performances of him in Qatar.

According to Sky Sports journalist Florian Plettenberg, Borussia Dortmund is open to selling the English international. They are expected to receive a transfer offer in the region of €100-150m for Jude Bellingham next summer.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid are also interested in taking over his services. Jurgen Klopp has a battle on his hands to complete the transfer of Jude Bellingham.

When will England play the next FIFA World Cup?

England’s World Cup squad have secured their place in the FIFA World Cup quarter-finals after defeating Senegal 3-1 in a round of 16 tie on Monday. They will then face France in the quarterfinal tie at Al Bayt Stadium on December 11.

The game will see some of the best players in the world go up against each other, including Kylian Mbappe, Phil Foden, Antoine Griezmann, Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford.
