RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol’s agent insists there is no rush to sort out the future of the Croatian international amid transfer rumors linking him to Chelsea and other big clubs.
The talented 20-year-old has proven to be one of the best young players in Europe of late, with Fabrizio Romano confirming in his exclusive Daily Briefing for CaughtOffside that Chelsea were interested in him in the summer and are still interested in him now. .
The Blues would do well to bring in Gvardiol as the long-term successor to veteran Brazilian centre-back Thiago Silva, while Kalidou Koulibaly has not had the most convincing start since moving to Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Still, it seems that Gvardiol’s future is not close to being decided, although his agent told Florian Plettenberg that the big clubs have shown interest in him…
