Henderson sends classy message to Ex-Red after robbery

Jordan Henderson shone on the world stage with a brilliant goal for England and then continued to be the best in class off the pitch as well, as he delivered a moving message to one of his former Liverpool team-mates.

Speaking to ITV Sport, our captain had a message for Raheem Sterling, who missed the Senegal match due to armed robbers breaking into his family home (reported by The Mirror) while he was in Qatar with the national team.

The 32-year-old said: “I hope all is well with Raheem’s family back home and I hope he comes back and can fix everything, I’m not sure but I hope he can come back but I guess he’ll have to assess that when he gets there. All our thoughts and support are with him.”

The Ex-Red has returned home to Surrey to try and manage his affairs, but it’s clear our No. 14 would love to have him back with the team, if he’s able and willing.
