Leak reveals how Agnelli persuaded Sassuolo to give Juventus a good price on Locatelli

Investigators have been publishing details about his work at Juventus and his capital gains case.

The Bianconeri are being investigated for various reasons and the prosecution has done a lot of work on the case, which is now going public.

One of the transfers they are targeting is the signing of Manuel Locatelli from Juve from Sassuolo last season.

The midfielder shone at Euro 2020, prompting the Bianconeri to take an interest in him, along with many other clubs on the continent.

His biggest competitor was Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta identifying the Italian as a player who can transform his team.

However, Agnelli spoke to Giovanni Carnevali from Sassuolo and said via Calciomercato:

“If I sit down and the conditions that you give me are exactly those that you give to Edu from Arsenal that you have never seen in your life, what is the added value of our ten-year relationship? What happened to the eight million you earned in six months with Demiral, who didn’t know who he was? Our decisive support when you took Sensi? The 13 million you took with Lirola?

There is nothing wrong with the exchange between Agnelli and Carnevali, considering that they are friends. But investigators seem intent on embarrassing the former Bianconeri president.

He did not try to force Carnevali to make a decision against his own will, which would have been a wrong act on his part.

Based on this evidence, it appears that the investigators wasted their time and resources tapping phone calls where they had no business.
