Odion Ighalo Hopes Cristiano Ronaldo Would Come to Saudi Arabia

Odion Ighalo has said he expects Cristiano Ronaldo to come to Saudi Arabia amid reports that Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr has offered the Portuguese superstar a proposal.

Cristiano Ronaldo is currently a free agent after Manchester United terminated his contract by mutual consent. CR7 sealed a return to Manchester United in the summer of 2021. He rejoined the Red Devils on a two-year contract with an option for a further year.

But his stay at Man Utd was cut short after the two parties agreed to mutually terminate his contract. Cristiano Ronaldo had effectively burned the bridges with the Old Trafford team before that.

Ronaldo had sat down for an interview with Piers Morgan, in which he was very critical of Manchester United, the Glazer family, the club’s owners, Erik ten Hag, the club’s manager, etc.

“He has the decision to make. I wish him all the best in that decision and hopefully he will come to Saudi Arabia.

“I would love for him to come to Saudi Arabia because he would boost the league and add more fans to the league. People who aren’t watching yet will start interacting with the league and see something they’re missing.”

Meanwhile, Ronaldo will focus on Portugal’s 2022 FIFA World Cup campaign at the moment. He remains key for Portugal at the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, he has only had an acceptable campaign so far at the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Cristiano Ronaldo has only scored one goal for Portugal so far at Qatar 2022. That came in his first match – a 3-2 win over Ghana, in which he converted a penalty.
