Pioli insists Juventus has the quality to thrive

AC Milan manager Stefano Pioli insists he was surprised Juventus underperformed at the start of the season because they have a quality squad.

The Bianconeri underperformed when the campaign began and it looked like it would be the same story as last season when they only managed to finish in the top four.

However, Max Allegri has worked his magic after being on the verge of being sacked and Juve are now one of the clubs to watch after winning six straight league games before the World Cup break.

The Bianconeri are now just 10 points off the top in 3rd position and the clubs above them are worried about what they might eventually achieve.

Speaking about his form, Pioli said via Tuttojuve:

“I was surprised when he was honestly behind. Juve’s squad is among the best in the league. They made a great promotion and without important players like Chiesa and Di María. The level of the championship is rising, the greats are improving but so are the others. When you go to play in Verona, Turin, Sassuolo, it’s not easy”.

Juve FC says

We are still the biggest club in Serie A and have only suffered in bad form for several months.

As we continue to win games, the clubs will hardly be surprised if we beat Napoli to the league title at the end of the period.

The Partenopei know that we are the opponent they must fear the most at this time.
