Al Nassr make an official transfer bid for Cristiano Ronaldo

Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr have submitted an offer to complete the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese international has been a free agent since he left Manchester United last month.

The Portuguese international rejoined the Manchester outfit from Juventus in the 2021 summer transfer window. He made 40 Premier League appearances after rejoining the Mighty Reds, recording 19 goals and three assists in the process.

The veteran attacker gave a controversial interview to Piers Morgan last month, denouncing Red Devils manager Erik ten Hag and the club’s management. Manchester United mutually terminated his contract after the interview.

According to trusted transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano, Saudi Pro League club Al Nassr have submitted an official offer to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.

They have submitted an offer worth €200 a year until 2025. However, the offer includes offers from sponsors. Representatives for Cristiano Ronaldo are currently reviewing the documents. If the transfer goes through, it will be a record transfer for a 37-year-old.

However, the veteran striker has yet to approve the deal. He is currently fulfilling his international commitments with Portugal in the FIFA World Cup. The former Manchester United attacker is likely to make a decision about his future after returning from Qatar.

In addition to Al Nassr, Newcastle United and Chelsea have also shown interest in completing the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo. It would be intriguing to see how his future unfolds.

He said: “There is more interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo beyond Al-Nassr, although the offer from him is the biggest.
