Fabrizio Romano has returned to write about the Harry Kane transfer situation in today’s edition of Fabrizio Romano’s Daily Briefing via CaughtOffside’s Substack.
The England international is one of the best strikers in world football, and it looks like he is making headlines once again as Bayern Munich are being talked about as possible suitors for him on the transfer market.
Kane’s contract with Tottenham is set to expire in 2024, and Bayern could really use a top-flight signing like him up front to replace Robert Lewandowski, who they’ve missed since leaving to join Barcelona in the summer.
Kane’s prolific record in his time in the Premier League surely shows that he could do a job for Bayern, and Romano admits they like the player.
Still, it appears that nothing is currently in progress, and little may change during the 29-year-old’s participation in the 2022 World Cup.
“I’ve been seeing stories about Kane again, but so far there’s no change,” Romano explained.
“Tottenham want to keep Kane and there are no negotiations going on, but nothing would happen during the World Cup either, of course…so it’s completely calm from now on.
“Bayern like Kane as Oliver Kahn said, nothing more.”

Spurs fans will no doubt be hoping that their club can persuade Kane to sign a new contract as soon as possible, or they will surely have a difficult decision to make in the summer.
At that point, Kane would only have one year left on his contract, so he could leave North London on a free transfer in 2024.
While Tottenham will surely hope to avoid having to sell Kane, they may need to consider cashing in on him while they can, as he’ll likely command a huge transfer fee while under contract, and the club surely can’t afford to lose him. not at all a year later.
