Andrew Tate on his trip to Qatar for the Football World cup 2022

The 2022 FIFA World Cup has begun and continues in full force. The final group stage matches continue with the knockout stage matches just around the corner. As always, this mega-soccer event has captured all the media attention, as such splendor comes once every four years. The media have followed this event with a burning addiction and could follow more as controversial internet star Andrew Tate has been planning to fly to Qatar for the World Cup.

Who is Andrew Tate?

Almost every person would have at least heard of the name Andrew Tate. Maybe because of his kickboxing career, but probably because of his controversial image. Videos of him and views of him on women and related social issues have earned him widespread fame and an equal amount of notoriety.

Tate, also known as Top G, has a net worth of more than $355 million according to official records. He owns several casinos and brands and is often present on various podcasts and talk shows. Unfiltered views of him got him banned from Twitter.

But it was soon at it again after Elon Musk took over as CEO of Twitter. After a public tweet about his net worth of over $700 million, there are rumors of a boxing match against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Top G will take its Bugatti to Qatar

Tate has been to numerous soccer matches and wants to be a part of the 2022 FIFA World Cup hosted in Qatar. The controversial star tweeted:

“I am organizing to fly my Bugatti from Dubai to Qatar, arriving at the world cup with a security team of 25 men to make sure that the peasants do not touch the car: VIP box and a fat Cuban. He will yell at the players below telling them how to win. Just put the ball in the dummies on the net.”

Controversy follows Tate

Like other times, controversy has also followed Andrew Tate to Qatar. He supported the Qatari government’s action to ban players from wearing the Onelove bracelet to represent the LGBTQ+ community. The Tate brothers said that Western countries should not try to impose their political beliefs on Qatar. Furthermore, they criticized the West for not having a culture of its own and said that the pride flag was their latest piece of culture.

They even added that Qatar was better than the West to live in. The brothers also criticized the agitated fans saying:

CRICBABA

“Can’t you just, you know, have sex with whoever you want, in your house, without having to show it to everyone at the world cup?”

While the two brothers, especially Andrew Tate, are known for their controversial and often misogynistic views and stances, most people would agree on this. Soccer is easily the most popular sport on the planet. It is morally wrong to sell diaries with the game to such a wide audience. While these movements say that sports are for everyone, fans should have the option to disagree.

Why can’t you keep a sport as a sport and not use it as a tool for an agenda?
