Juventus have reviewed their financial status after investigators found wrongdoing with them and insist they have done nothing wrong.
The Bianconeri have been criticized for their involvement in account falsification for several seasons, forcing Andrea Agnelli to resign as their president.
The club’s previous board of directors has also been dissolved and a new one will be formed next year to usher in a new era.
However, they have maintained that they have done nothing wrong and have followed standard accounting practice.
Even as investigators publish some details about their efforts to hide evidence, Juve have continued to defend themselves and have now reviewed the financial statements.
In a statement, they insist via Football Italia:
“The new approval of the draft annual accounts and the consolidated annual accounts as of June 30, 2022 is a consequence of the analyzes and assessments carried out by the Board of Directors on November 28, after having received new updated opinions following the review of the relevant documentation relating to the investigation by the Public Prosecutor, with reference to the so-called ‘salary maneuvers’ carried out in the years 2019/20 and 2020/21.”
Juve FC says
When there is a legal battle against you, what you have to do is fight back and defend yourself, which is what we are doing now.
It is difficult, considering the evidence that has been made public, but we must continue to fight to ensure that no one holds us responsible for a wrong we did not commit.
