Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold has praised Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, calling him the difference for England in Qatar.
Rashford has been terrific for the Three Lions so far, registering three goals to his name.
In England’s last match against Wales, the 25-year-old started and restored Gareth Southgate’s faith with two sublime goals, including a superb free-kick.
The second goal came when the Englishman brilliantly sliced through a Welsh defender before firing a powerful low shot past a defenseless Danny Ward.
In the Golden Boot standings, the United academy graduate is currently on par with Frenchman Kylian Mbappe and Dutch striker Cody Gakpo.
Alexander-Arnold spoke to Talksport and said that Rashford brings “Excitement. That’s the first thing he does when he steps on the field, the first thing you think is that he’s going to use his pace, his speed to get behind and get to the people.”
“He’s so skilled, he can score and create. “He is an outstanding player.”
The Liverpool full-back added: “He is underrated, I think he is someone who can win games for club and country; he has shown it before and I am sure he will continue to do so. He is also someone who can help us win this tournament.”

The praise for Alexander-Arnold comes at a time when there is a public debate over whether Rashford should keep his starting job against Senegal.
Southgate has a big decision to make regarding who starts at left wing between Rashford and Raheem Sterling.
It says a lot about Rashford’s resilience that he has gone from being a pariah in the England setup to re-establishing himself as a vital component in Southgate’s plans.
Hopefully, he can pick up where he left off against Senegal and extend his good form for United when club football returns.
