Manchester United legend Paul Scholes picks between Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro – Man United News And Transfer News

Manchester United legend Paul Scholes joined MUTV’s The Debate panel this week. Topics discussed ranged from the latest club news to Qatar 2022 and United’s midfield masters.

Scholes, one of the supremely talented members of United’s Class of ’92, answered a fascinating question (via MUTV).

The fan favourite, who made 499 Premier League appearances, was asked who he would rather play with, Casemiro or Bruno Fernandes?

The only caveat to the question was that he would be at the peak of his powers.

Fernandes or Casemiro: a no-brainer

Scholes, always outspoken, responded quite frankly. She admitted that the question was simple for him.

Scholes said: “It’s pretty easy to answer because of the style of play; I would much prefer to play with Casemiro.

He said Casemiro reminded him of players he’s played with in the past, such as Roy Keane, Nicky Butt and Michael Carrick.

The former England International and Manchester United midfielder confessed then that it would be a nightmare if he were to partner with Fernandes.

In his opinion, both he and Fernandes would be willing to step up and contribute rather than attend to their defensive duties.

When asked more about who would be his preferred midfield partner, Casemiro or Christian Eriksen, Scholes didn’t hesitate. The United legend chose Casemiro again.

Based on United number. 18 of old, if he teamed with Fernandes or Eriksen, games would likely end 6-6.

This is a testament to both the quality of Casemiro and his current form at club and international level. Defensively in Qatar, the Brazilian has managed the midfield excellently. Offensively, he has shown his technical ability and the shots are nothing to scoff at, burying Switzerland with a wonderful goal in the 83rd minute.

United fans will be excited to see their midfield hero make a run for Old Trafford to face Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on December 27, if not before then in the EFL Cup tie against Burnley on December 21.

Until then, Red Devils fans will have to settle for watching their new favorite play for Brazil in the World Cup.
