According to Gazzetta dello Sport via ilBianconero, Juventus could promote Marco Storari as the club needs a sports figure in a senior management role following the resignation of vice president Pavel Nedved.
The 45-year-old goalkeeper was a well-travelled keeper during his playing days. After impressing during his spell at Sampdoria, he joined Giuseppe Marotta and Luigi Delneri in a move to Juventus in 2010.
The Italian proved a capable replacement for Gianluigi Buffon during the latter’s occasional absence, his passion and enthusiasm endearing him to the fans.
Storari joined the club’s management in 2020 as director of youth development, but has served as team leader since 2021.
During his playing days, he represented Juventus in 64 games between 2010 and 2015, achieving 21 clean sheets in the process.
