Tony Damascelli says Agnelli’s letter is childish

29 November 2022 – 22:00

Journalist Tony Damascelli is not impressed with Andrea Agnelli’s letter after he resigned from Juventus’ board of directors and as its president yesterday to the surprise of many fans.

The Bianconeri have been fighting so many legal battles recently and the current case of false accounting has forced the board to resign and allow a new group to lead the club.

Agnelli’s tenure as president may not have ended as he would have liked, but the manager remains one of the best the club has ever had, and his trophy-laden spell will always be remembered.

When he resigned, he wrote an open letter to the club’s fans and everyone who cared about the organization.

However, Damascelli was not impressed with some of its content, saying via Tuttojuve:

“A childish letter from a certain point of view. She says ‘the compactness has ceased’. The question is simple: it has failed either because of some auditors, or because of Marilungo who resigned yesterday, or because of his cousin, who said “what can be saved must be saved.”

Juve FC says

Agnelli’s time at the club was a resounding success, despite recent seasons not going as planned and the club still experiencing some financial problems.

Not everyone will understand his position at the moment and we hope that only Juve fans will appreciate his work, which is the most important thing.
