Cody Gakpo has dropped a big hint that he will be leaving PSV Eindhoven in the January transfer window amid interest from Manchester United, with trusted reporter Fabrizio Romano adding even more fuel to the fire.
The Dutch striker was asked about the speculation surrounding his future and was quoted by RMC Sport as saying: “As it is, I will continue to play for PSV after the winter break.
“But as I said before the start of the World Cup: we’ll see what happens.”
The winger has certainly done nothing to quell the rumors by telling fans to “watch this space.” With Erik ten Hag as a big fan, Old Trafford seems to be his most likely destination.
And the journalist Romano affirms that “his agents are already working on a possible transfer, since he is expected to leave PSV in 2023.”
Cody Gakpo on interested Premier League clubs: “I am 100% focused now on the World Cup. It’s always nice to hear, but here I just focus and do the best I can.” ???????????? #transfers

Gakpo was in contact with Man United in the summer over a possible move, but in the end the club spent its budget elsewhere, signing Antony from Ajax in a deal worth around £85m.
With the recent departure of Cristiano Ronaldo from the club, the Red Devils’ need for attacking reinforcements has become a focus.
Marcus Rashford, Antony and Jadon Sancho are the only attackers who started the season as senior players and were available most of the time.
Anthony Martial has gone from one injury to the next, while Anthony Elanga and Alejandro Garnacho are in the early stages of their careers.
But more than anything, this Manchester United team is short on goals this season.
United have scored just twenty goals so far in the Premier League, meaning they have been beaten by all but one team in the top half of the table, as well as two outside the table.
A €60m contract for an attacker who can’t seem to stop scoring makes a lot of sense in that context.
Gakpo has scored 15 times for PSV this season in all competitions and has brought his sensational form to the World Cup stage for starters, scoring in all of the Netherlands’ group stage matches to help secure qualification for the round of 16
