‘Liverpool will…’ – Ronan Murphy drops Jude Bellingham transfer claim amid Anfield links

Ronan Murphy has stressed that Liverpool will have no choice but to “sell themselves well” in a bid to persuade Jude Bellingham to join them this summer.

The Merseysiders have a significant advantage in the availability of one of the two best managers in world football in Jurgen Klopp, of course, assuming the club can raise the funds to buy a seat at the negotiating table.

“Bellingham is going to be in such high demand next summer that it will be difficult for Liverpool to sign him,” the transfers.com reporter told Anfield Index.

“He is weighing any potential moves to see what is best for his career, just as he did before joining Dortmund.

“He’s a smart guy and has good advisers around him, so Liverpool will have to sell themselves very well to bring him to Anfield. The Klopp factor should definitely be a help.”

Real Madrid, Chelsea and Manchester City will offer more than stiff competition for the 19-year-old’s signing in the summer window, although Jamal Musiala has suggested it may just be the English clubs involved in the race.

Ben Jacobs has already established that the teenager will establish a sort of checklist, in a similar fashion to Erling Haaland, to decide on his ideal next move.

As far as team performance is concerned, we have some serious work to do from now until May to make sure we present ourselves in the best light possible when it comes to our competitive capabilities.

Elsewhere though, Liverpool can hold their heads high when it comes to their facilities, the quality of the team – although serious investment is required in the midfield department – and the skill of the coach.

Bellingham won’t be the only one on our list, Florian Plettenberg made that clear to fans once again with his latest update, but it would be a statement of intent if we were to secure the Borussia Dortmund star this summer.
