Belgian striker Leandro Trossard has been offered to Manchester United by his agent as a possible replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.
That’s according to journalist Ben Jacobs, who told GiveMeSport: “We know his agent is putting Trossard in Brighton on the shelf.
“He has been offered to Manchester United; They have offered it to Liverpool and they have offered it to Chelsea. Liverpool are not interested.
“Manchester United haven’t really bitten, but given Ronaldo’s situation, we have to wait and see if they consider a player like him, someone who can be gotten, someone who is in good shape and someone who can bail them out and carry on. with the impulse that they are building under the direction of Erik ten Hag between now and the summer, at which time they can become a big name.
Trossard has been in fine form this season, first under Graham Potter and then under new Brighton manager Robero de Zerbi.
He has scored seven goals and provided two assists in fourteen Premier League games this season.
His versatility could be a benefit for Erik ten Hag, with the Belgian capable of playing across the entire front line. A good dribbler and willing runner out of possession, the Brighton attacker would suit the Dutchman’s system.
Trossard’s contract will expire at the end of the current season, although Brighton have the option to extend it for a further twelve months.
