White has yet to appear for England with Gareth Southgate opting for Harry Maguire and John Stones in defence, a pairing who have helped him in previous tournaments thus far.

White has played most of this season at right-back, but Southgate have a host of players capable of playing in this position. It wouldn’t be a surprise if White didn’t have a minute in this tournament, but he is certainly a good option.
Arsenal fans can look forward to seeing their man in action at the World Cup, but coming out of the tournament injury-free would be more of a priority.
