FA Cup third round draw in full – Manchester United, Chelsea, and Liverpool face PL sides

The draw for the third round of the FA Cup has been announced and Manchester City host Chelsea in what will be a fascinating Premier League clash.

As the New Year rolls in, the traditional third round qualifiers are usually played just a few days after New Year’s Day.

Manchester City at home to Chelsea is undoubtedly the tie of the round and I’m sure Graham Potter wished for any other club than the Premier League champions.

Liverpool host Wolves, who are currently at the bottom of the Premier League. National League club Wrexham, owned by Hollywood superstars, clinched an away draw with Championship club Coventry City.

Everton will make the short and difficult trip to Old Trafford when they take on Manchester United.

There are some tasty Premier League draws to look forward to in the new year with plenty of top division clubs failing to progress to the fourth round.
