Cody Gakpo welcomes Liverpool interest as he comments on rumours

Liverpool seem to be related to most of the players at this year’s World Cup, but one of the most talked about names has responded to these rumours, as Cody Gakpo spoke to the press.

As reported by Sky Sports News, the Dutchman said: “I’m concentrating on the World Cup, but it’s always good to hear such rumours. But, you know, I just try to focus here and do the best I can. I’m not surprised. I know what I am capable of, but it is always a challenge to reach the highest possible level. I think I’m not there yet, but I can improve on many things.”

The striker already has two goals to his credit in Qatar and the 23-year-old has caught the eye of a host of suitors, many of whom are in the Premier League.

Given the signing of Darwin Nunez in the summer, the likely high cost of the striker from PSV, and the need for new midfielders in our team, it seems unlikely that we’ll make a move for the attacker, but it looks like some of these links for him. It may be true.
