Report: Real Madrid to enter the race for Juventus target Milinkovic-Savic

Since joining Lazio in 2015, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has grown stronger and stronger, establishing himself as one of the best midfielders in Serie A.

But despite growing interest from top teams around the world, Biancocelesti president Claudio Lotito has been able to fend off suitors and maintain the services of his most prized asset.

But with the player’s contract expiring in 2024, concerns have been mounting at Formello that the Eagles could finally be losing control of the situation.

As longtime admirers of the Serb, Juventus are hoping to take advantage of the situation to achieve their goal, even though Lotito’s asking price is still set at €100m.

However, a report from Spain warns Juventus of some unwanted competition from LaLiga.

According to Marca via TuttoJuve, Real Madrid is preparing an offer for Milinkovic-Savic next summer.

The Serb could be considered a long-term replacement for Los Blancos veterans Luka Mordic and Toni Kroos.

Juve FC says

Lotito may be a stubborn negotiator, but he’s still a shrewd businessman and will eventually make the best deal for his club.

With his player’s contract expiring in 2024, he might not get his 100 million, but he’ll still be able to squeeze a large sum of money out of a top European team.

It remains to be seen if it will be Juventus, Real Madrid or another suitor that is yet to be revealed. But one thing is for sure, the competition will only drive the price up.
